Huisken Meat Company Receives “Excellent”
Score on NSF- Cook & Thurber Audit
Sauk Rapids, MN, May 15, 2005 - Huisken Meat Company,
a JNR Corporation company, is pleased to announce a recent “Excellent” score from
an early May, 2005 third party audit conducted by NSF – Cook & Thurber. With over
60 years of experience, NSF-Cook & Thurber conduct independent evaluations to determine
that manufacturers have appropriately designed systems that are being operated under
continual control to assure product safety, quality, and consistency.
Huisken Meat Company scored in excess of 98.5% on a wide ranging evaluation of its
management & quality policy; incoming material control; plant facility and in-process
control; sanitation, housekeeping, equipment & maintenance; personal hygiene; food
safety; and other areas.

Since 1938, Huisken Meat Company, a JNR Corporation company, has worked to bring
the highest quality meats to the dinner table. It produces high-quality frozen beef
burgers for home consumers as Huisken and RG's brands, as well as store brand labels
for some of the largest grocery distributors in the country.
Very few meat companies have achieved ISO Certification, making Huisken Meat Company
one of the leaders in the industry. Whiteford Food Products, Inc., a sister company
also owned by JNR Corporation, has been ISO Certified since 1996. Rochester Meat
Company, another JNR Corporation company received ISO 9001:2000 Certification in
April 2004.
